David Spangler has enjoyed helping clients through his law practice in North Carolina since 1977. He grew up in Greensboro with his parents, a brother, and three sisters. He went to college at UNC-Chapel Hill. After graduating in 1973, he was a ski bum in Colorado for a year, then attended Stetson College of Law in Florida to obtain his law degree and eventually moved back to Greensboro.

David married his wife Carly in 1986, and they have been perfect together, having been blessed with exceptional health. They had a son, Matt, now in his 30s, happily married. David and Carly have lived in and raised Matt from the same home in Greensboro that David's parents lived in until his father retired in 1984.

The entire family enjoys traveling and visiting with relatives and friends. Carly is retired and finds passion in gardening, yard work, and pottery. When he's not putting in hours at the office, David especially loves golfing, boating, watching sports, and exercising.

Jonathan joined Spangler Estate Planning as an attorney in January 2020. He graduated magna cum laude from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Law. He later earned both his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees from Elon University.

Jonathan concentrates his practice on estate planning, probate, and estate administration. He assists clients throughout North Carolina and particularly enjoys guiding families through the often complex and challenging probate process. Drawing on his background in business and finance, Jonathan helps clients understand both the legal and financial implications of their estate planning and business decisions.

With prior legal experience in law firm, clinical, and in-house settings, Jonathan approaches legal issues from multiple perspectives and tailors his counsel to each client's individual circumstances and goals. He is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and Tennessee and is also admitted to practice before the federal courts in North Carolina.

Jonathan has been recognized as a North Carolina Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2025 and 2026 and was named to Business North Carolina's 2026 Legal Elite in Tax and Estate Planning. He is the Immediate Past-President of the Greensboro Bar Association's Young Lawyers Section and is currently the President-Elect of the Greensboro Bar Association's general body.

Outside of the office, Jonathan is an avid traveler and runner, with completing the Boston Marathon among his proudest accomplishments.
